PhD in Power Systems Admission

PhD in Power Systems is a 3-year duration doctoral level course. Power Systems is a particular subject covers both theoretical and practical aspects of power systems such as dynamics, reliability and protection, and also security, power system analysis, operations, control, planning, power quality and power system transients. The goal of this program train candidates in understanding and operation of micro- processors and micro controllers which form a crucial part of the evolving power system technology. During the study time candidates it provide study an in-depth knowledge of different dimensions involved in the engineering of the power system and aspects to be dealt for resolving many global and national issues related to power industry and its impact on the environment. The course area train candidates in equating balance by the use of the sophisticated technical process. After passing this course student have various job opportunities in various fields. 

PhD in Power Systems Admission Process:

Admission to the Ph.D. program shall be based on the student's marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by the respective department or school of the particular university or institute. Those candidates who have complete GATE/NET/SET/ M.Phil/JRF Examination in the pertinent subject of the apex bodies as CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT will be exempted from the Entrance Test. While giving the exemption, the Departmental Committee of the institute may consider research work/earlier Ph.D./experience done by the student. If a student already holds a Doctors degree in a relevant subject from a UGC Approved University or Institute, he/she may be exempted from entrance exam and pre Ph.D. coursework. After clearing the both steps the student will be eligible to pay course fee or registration fee. Only the predetermined number of candidates may be admitted to Ph.D. program.
